New Church, New Outlook

This morning I attended a new church with a teammate and the preacher talked about the exodus out of the Egypt.  The point he really wanted us to grasp was how God hardened the heart of Pharaoh.  Now that seems odd because the whole point was to free his people from Egypt.  But he did it to show and to prove that he is the one and only, all powerful God and that no other God can compare to him.  I never knew this.  God knew Pharaoh wouldn't let his people go because he would make it so.  He wanted there to be no doubt in anybody's mind that he was the one and only God.  He also wanted his people to never forget it.  It would become something for them to remember that would keep them on track.
